This intermediate level will assess an individual's ability to analyse and apply the concepts of ITIL. Candidates are able to take units from this stream to gain credits towards the ITIL Expert Level.

This stream will be of interest to candidates who wish to be certified in a deep level understanding of ITIL processes and roles. Attention to the Service Lifecycle is illustrated as part of the curriculum; however the primary focus is the process activities, execution and use throughout the Service Lifecycle. This stream includes 4 individual certificates for practitioners:

  • Service Offerings and Agreements Certificate

  • Planning, Protection and Optimisation

  • Release, Control and Validation Certificate

  • Operational Support and Analysis Certificate

Candidates can combine these units with Intermediate Lifecycle stream modules to achieve the ITIL Expert Level.

These qualifications are being launched in October 2008 and January 2009 by the OGC’s Official Accreditor – The APM Group Limited.
