Vic Porcelli is an experienced IT Process Improvement and Service Management Consultant with 20+ years of experience implementing, improving and running critical IT Service Management processes. He’s had several leadership roles while working in the pharmaceutical and banking sectors.
Vic holds a Six Sigma Greenbelt as well as certifications in ITIL (V3 Foundation and Continual Process Improvement (CSI). His management skills include cross-cultural leadership and professional staff development across multiple locations, both domestic and international.

Service Management Implementation and Delivery

Vic has delivered critical IT Service Management (ITSM) Processes over his career including Software Asset Management, Configuration, Change and Problem, Management. At GlaxoSmithKline, a global pharmaceutical company with 100,000 staff, he successfully implemented sustainable IT Service Management processes using ITIL principles. Vic’s scope of responsibilities have included other ITSM processes including Data Security, Continuity Planning, Service Transition, Release Management, Outsourcing, Vendor Management, Training, Communications, and Capital Management.

Practical Process Improvement

Vic has extensive expertise in process improvement techniques. His practical approach to improving processes has led to repeated delivery of measurable cost reductions while at the same time improving and streamlining processes. Vic is continually called upon to lead project improvement projects for critical processes that are operating inefficiently.
Vic uses a Benefits Delivery approach to baseline improvement efforts to show measurable business impact. This approach has led to significant reductions in IT operating expenses, cost avoidance, and increased productivity savings while streamlining underlying processes.

Developing Professional Staff

Vic has managed teams as large as 60 staff in multiple locations and countries. He’s driven large, cross-cultural, matrix teams to successful completion of projects.
Vic excels in professional staff development and his leadership style has allowed his teams to feel empowered to deliver quality outcomes. He is knowledgeable in leadership essentials and was a mentor and coach for GlaxoSmithKline IT staff. Vic is also an accomplished trainer and presenter, having delivered various IT training sessions and seminars over his career.
