Steve is a ConnectSphere’s Management Consultant and accredited trainer. He has 25 years experience working in the banking, retail and telecommunications sectors.

Steve has strong leadership and motivational skills, previously managing teams of over 100 people across multiple geographic locations. He has been instrumental in delivering cultural change and cost reduction by promoting the adoption of ITIL and ISO/IEC 20000 at BT and Abbey. Steve achieved his Managers certificate in IT Service Management with distinction and the ISO/IEC 20000 Implementer and Consultant certificate.

Service Management and Organizational Change

Steve has worked on a number of organizational change programs. His assignments have included the realignment of organisational structure, process, procedures and tools to ITIL best practice at British Telecom; Argos and Abbey Plc. The project at BT enabled BT to achieve ISO/IEC 20000 certification.

During his career Steve has managed projects covering components of Data Centre Optimisation, introduction of ITIL Service Management disciplines, tool selection, process implementation, training and cultural change.

Steve has implemented Software Configuration Management solutions including PVCS Dimensions He had project management responsibility for the implementation of procedures and tools to support Change, Release, Configuration and Security Management. This delivered repeatable process and secure definitive software libraries across the Abbey IT estate.

Training and Learning

Steve is an accredited ISEB and itSMF trainer. He delivers IT service management courses and workshops at all levels.

Steve writes and delivers Service Management training programmes. He provides coaching and revision seminars to prepare candidates for exams and mentors individuals where this adds moiré value than formal training. He also regularly facilitates workshops covering a range of activities, from process mapping and technical discussion to personal development.

Steve is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable trainer who encourages candidate participation and group discussion.
